Peter Ross B.A. – Chair
Peter is the Manager of Entertainment Venues for Tamworth Regional Council. This includes the theatre director duties for the Capitol Theatre Tamworth which produces a season of events annually. He is a BA graduate from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts majoring in Musical Theatre. Peter has worked professionally in the Entertainment Industry as a Director, Producer, Performer and teacher. He taught singing at Brent Street Studios in Sydney for several years and then co-ran his own singing school for a year before pursuing directing in musical theatre nationally. He also sits on the Board for Arts On Tour and through his position at Tamworth Regional Council is heavily involved in the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
Jo Byrnes BA, MBA, GAICD
Jo Byrnes is a Director of Cloudwize Technologies Pty Ltd, an IT services company. Previously, Jo spent 17 years in the financial markets in Sydney and Melbourne, progressing through roles in economic analysis, investment analysis, corporate finance and investor relations, and was General Manager, Corporate Services & Corporation Secretary for Treasury Corporation of Victoria. Returning to her hometown in 2006 she spent three years as Executive Director of Tamworth Regional Development Corporation Ltd before joining Tamex Transport as Chief Strategy Officer & Group HR. Jo is a qualified practitioner of Kaplan & Norton’s Balanced Scorecard methodology and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Libby Campbell B.A., L.L.B. L.L.M. (Applied Law)
Stephen Cunneen JP, BA (Hons), PhD (UNE)
Stephen is currently a Visiting Fellow at the University of New England, Armidale and works out of the Tamworth Student Centre in Fitzroy Street. He had previously worked for 37 years with the ANZ Banking Group where he had extensive experience in International Banking as well as later being a specialist Rural banker and a member of the ANZ Bank National Rural Training Committee. He retired as Manager of Tamworth in February 1998 to pursue an academic career and graduated in March 2012 with a Doctorate of Philosophy from UNE Armidale. Stephen was elected to the Board of the Conservatorium in 2013.
Jocelyn Goodfellow B.Fin.Admin., C.A.
Jocelyn has worked as an Accountant since 1996 and returned from Sydney in 1999 to join Hancocks Chartered Accountants. Jocelyn completed her Bachelor of Financial Administration at the University of New England, Armidale in 2003. After completing her CA Program Jocelyn was admitted as a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in September 2005 and on 31st October 2011 became a Principal of Hancocks.
Vanessa McDonald
Vanessa McDonald has been a member of the Board since 2008. She has been involved with TRCM since 1997 as a parent of a student and has been actively involved in various parent support groups, namely Tamworth Youth String Orchestra, Conservatorium Youth Training Orchestra and Tamworth Regional Youth Orchestra.
