Attending lessons at the Conservatorium

Recent changes to NSW Public Health orders may impact students, families and staff attending lessons at the Conservatorium

Recent changes to NSW Public Health orders may impact students, families and staff attending lessons at the Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music.

From October 11, persons aged 16 and over will only be permitted to enter the Conservatorium if they are fully vaccinated or have a medical exemption. This includes students and any parents or caregivers who may accompany students to lessons.

To limit numbers in the building, we encourage parents to drop off students and remain outside the building where it is safe to do so.

Before anyone is permitted to enter the building, a staff member will ask sight one of the following:

  • a COVID-19 digital certificate,
  • a printed version of the COVID-19 digital certificate or immunisation history statement (available through myGov), or
  • a medical contraindication form.

If you are unable to attend face-to-face lessons due to these restrictions, lessons can be delivered online using Zoom. Please send an email to admin@thecon.com.au if you would like to arrange this.

From December 1 (or 90% vaccination rate), all students and visitors are permitted to enter the premises regardless of their vaccination status.

Visitors must not attend lessons if they have any signs of illness. Anyone who visits the building is required to comply with current guidelines, including QR codes and mask-wearing.

If you have any questions, please contact our Operations and Projects Manager, Natasha Smith on (02) 6766 6911.
Please be patient with Conservatorium staff as they do their best to follow these updated NSW Public Health Orders. The staff at the Conservatorium have the right to do their work in an environment free from violent, threatening or abusive behaviour. Police will be called in the event of any physical or verbal abuse directed toward staff or other Conservatorium families.

Kind regards,

Noelene McGrane
Conservatorium Director
