Family Christmas

Celebrate Christmas the Con

This evening is quickly becoming a favourite on the Conservatorium calendar. These celebrations have something for everyone, beginning with a fun and relaxed gathering on the front lawn featuring performances from our ensembles, carol singing, fun reindeer games, and a free BBQ and drinks.

Later on in the evening, we move into the Chapel Theatre where the Conservatorium Chamber Singers lead the audience in community carols, perform solo a cappella choral works, and will feature a chamber group of some of the Conservatorium’s senior instrumental students.

This year’s concert will feature Camille Saint-Saëns’ beautiful Oratorio de Noël, performed by the Chamber Singers and guests from the Tamworth Choral Society. Ashlee Woodgate (soprano), Emily Thomas-Moore (mezzo-soprano), Tracey Barnier (alto), Brad Gill (tenor) and Todd Power (baritone) will feature as soloists, and be accompanied by a chamber group of string and keyboard players from the Conservatorium and the community.

Admission is free and all are welcome to attend both parts of the celebrations
