Uke-e-stra is the ideal ensemble for Primary School students (up to 12 years old) who are eager to learn or improve their ukulele skills while having fun with peers. Whether you’re just starting out or already know your chords, this group offers a welcoming and dynamic space to make music.
Rehearsals focus on developing essential skills, such as strumming, chord transitions, and rhythm, through a variety of fun and age-appropriate songs. Playing in Uke-e-stra encourages teamwork and helps students build confidence as they perform alongside their friends.
The group regularly performs at Conservatorium events, giving members the chance to share their progress and enthusiasm with an audience. These performances inspire a sense of pride and accomplishment, while fostering a lifelong love of music.
Beyond the music, Uke-e-stra provides a supportive and inclusive environment where young musicians can make new friends and enjoy the camaraderie of playing in an ensemble. It’s the perfect way to combine fun, creativity, and learning in a positive and inspiring setting.
